Worked as an electric on a music video for Spank Rock’s “Car Song” yesterday and Friday.
- Had a pretty decent lighting package consisting of two 10K’s, two 5K’s, and lots of 12x12 frames and other grip goodies.
- Happy I got my hands on some legit gear and learned a couple things, and did a little bit of networking, because the rate was very mediocre. I was really more of a swing grip because of how understaffed G&E was.
- Finally got to work on a shoot with the Arri Alexa. It seemed very smooth, no hiccups or waiting on camera issues. (sidenote: It’s simultaneously slightly annoying knowing this is where all the money went and also the reason they couldn’t pay me more/hire more help)
Got to shoot with the Arri Alexa yesterday. Footage (hopefully) to come.
